First destination: Chungking Mansion in Tsim Tsa Tsui!
Because i have zero hong kong dollar haha. Beh and weiling changed at kansai airport but the rate was really bad. I think they lost 5000yen worth of HKD when they changed 30000yen each. Supposedly the money changers in chungking mansion has better rates than any other places. I hesitated coming here because it seems like a rowdy area from what i read on the internet but it's pretty okay actually! Once you step in there are money changers EVERYwhere. Just walk around a bit and compare the rates then you'll be alright :)

restaurant in hongkong
Lunch@ Cafe de Coral chain restaurant in a nearby mall.
Beh said she read somewhere that the food is good.

 And the food IS good!
At a very reasonable price HKD33 (330yen) too.

 Nice looking museum.
Which we didn't go in of course.

avenue of stars
Walked to Avenue of Stars which is nearby~

avenue of stars
The only hong kong star i know LOL
Wait.. is Jackie Chan a hong kong star or china star?
beh and wei ling much more excited about coming here XD
The atmosphere is quite nice. It's by the sea and breezy. Tooooo many tourists though. While i was taking this jackie chan handprint photo with my feet i dunno how many people were waiting behind me tsk-ing -.-

Next stop is to The Peak where Madame Tussauds is at. We thought that since Avenue of Stars is such a famous tourist spot they would have a bus to The Peak. After asking a few people there we found that there's no such bus route so we just took the mtr back to central and walked to the peak tram terminus.
 sexy bus\(○^ω^○)/

i SO wanted to ride one of these double decker bus but never got to because i have no idea where they go.

peak tram
Riding the tram wasn't a very pleasant experience... You would think there would be less tourists on a Monday but the whole place was soooo crowded and we had to stand in line for over an hour before finally getting on the tram orz.

the peak
Took a break at a coffeehouse chain we have never seen before- Pacific Coffee.

Weiling and Beh(maybe?) bought the cakes for me as a mini bday celebration ^^

obama
Considered to make a flirty sit-on-the-table pose but scare will be scolded by workers there who are helping to take photos (to sell later) plus there were lots of people in line *paiseh* so here's a boring pose.

wax adolf hitler
 Guten tag!! Ich haise hitler.

 So young and original.
hmphh..just you wait!! One day you'll become old and boring like me as well.

spiderman

x japan member! i don't think many people know him though.

Madame Tussauds was really worth visiting though it was frustrating to have to fight with china tourists everytime we want to take a measly photo. Most of them were really rude and just pushed their children 'go go!' to take photos with the wax statues though we were there first. Geez

And the last program for the day is - night view at Sky TerraceSky Terrace

sky terrace hong kong
The best view to take photo was being occupied by pentax(or was it kodak?) staff who were offering photo-taking services (for money of course). Two staff guarded the space, one on the left and one on the right to make sure people steer clear of the area. I felt it was kind of unfair and guess what? There was this funny guy who actually went and challenged them. He deliberately went right in the middle of the balcony and stood there with his back facing the cameraman ignoring the helpers. When confronted he retorted that he paid money to come here and had every right to look at the view from any where he likes. Then the even funnier staffs replied sure okay then proceeded to shout in their loudest voice "PLEASE MAKE WAY FOR THIS GENTLEMAN! HE WANTS TO SEE THE VIEW FROM HERE." Then to the rest of their customers who are waiting in line "WE'RE SORRY, PLEASE HOLD ON A MOMENT WHILE THIS GENTLEMAN HERE ENJOYS HIS VIEW"

Needless to say the man left shortly afterwards.

Sky Terrace
The cameraman teaching to pose like this and this.

Queued for another solid hour before we can get on the tram again. Another option was to take the bus down but we've already paid for the HKD220 package including round trip tram ride together with Madame Tussauds and Sky Terrace entrance fee.

Tired but fulfilling day :)
