JOURNEY TO MY AKASHI KOUSEN

1st april

this is the shinagawa station in tokyo where we who were heading towards kansai area took the shinkansen (bullet train). my ticket costed 15200 yen which is around rm500 plus.

the few of us chinese heading towards kansai area. tho me n zhong ing's shinkansen only leaves at 10.10 am.. we were brought to the station at 8plus..

me and zhong ing's shinkansen was the last to leave. so we had plenty of time to spare. the senpais were really nice. they stayed with us till the end.
tried to take a pic of the famous bullet train. original plan of the photo: me at the left side and the bullet train's head at my right side.

attempt failed miserably
... zhong ing... u lousy photographer.
haha kidding. just proved how fast the bullet train is. it was ady in its 'slow' state cos stopping at the station.

joyce senpai!! we reached nishi akashi station at 1.28pm (on the dot.. really cool. exactly according to the bullet train's schedule.. u gotta admire japanese's sense of time and punctuality) where joyce picked us and bring us to go to our alien registration card which is a few stations away.

then finally we head towards our hostel. it's less than 10 minutes walk from uozumi station to akashi kousen. funny.. u would think the nearest station to akashi kousen would be akashi station but it turns out to be uozumi.. owell kinda like the nearest station to puduraya is not pudu station but instead is plaza rakyat station.
joyce and vincent senpai asked the office lady of dormitory to drive us to some nearby supermarket to buy futon blabla.. my futon, plus matress, pillow 3in1 costed 9800 yen which is rm362.60... it's warm tho not as warm as the comforter at sunway tower hotel... i wonder how to sleep in the summer.. would be so hot..

my room!! its on the 2nd floor (american system) of the girls' dorm. the current bed position is not the same as the photo tho.. pushed it to the right side cos for chinese legs facing door not good rite? the room got heater/aircon so nth to worry about!
now about the weather.. it's.. cold.. not wat i expected of spring.. will definitely freeze without jacket.. but this cold weather is one of the things i love about japan. cos it's the one thing tat's really different from malaysia where u sweat when u walk outside. it's cold enough till when u talk those white air i usually saw in dramas actually comes out haha.. i thought i had to wait till winter to see that. they say kansai is very very hot in summer so i thought spring would be like that too. but... conclusion.. it's even colder than tokyo. at tokyo the night feels warmer than day cos there's no wind at night. my akashi kousen is near the sea... so the wind blows all day and night.. zadao...

my 1st impression of japanese food was quite lousy cos the stuff i ate at tokyo didn't really taste tat nice.. i think i was wrong when the 1st dish i ordered was sasami.. the slices of fish looked really raw...
the udon i ate in the photo above was very very oishii tho! its a udon shop nearby my kousen. vincent brought me n zhong ing there for lunch after he took us to make bank account on the second day we reached akashi kousen...
to make bank account in japan quite troublesome tho.. had to make a name chop 1st. hehe maybe next time will post a photo of it.. it has my katagana name on it. we chose the cheapest tho it looks very simple
